Book Nook First Saturday of Every Month
Thanks to our Events Lead, Jayne Barrow, supported by local volunteers, the initial trial of the Book Nook Lending Library has proved a success and is now planned for the first Saturday of every month.
The library has a wide range of books, both fiction and non-fiction, as well as children’s books. There is no joining fee and books are free to borrow for as long as it takes you to read them. This is a great advantage if you’re not someone who ploughs through a novel a week and prefers to keep books for longer, without the need to keep remembering to renew the book as you do with most other libraries.
The library is accompanied by seating area where you can buy tea and coffee and delicious cakes and biscuits. There is a small suggested donation for these and all proceeds help to support the village hall.
